PALM HILLS RESIDENCE

“A layered home for quiet elegance and everyday life.”

Some homes are built for comfort. Others, for presence.
This residence in Palm Hills strikes a quiet balance between both — blending formality and ease in a way that reflects a lived-in elegance.
Rooted in honest materials and architectural symmetry, the home was designed as a layered canvas: drawing in light, softening the edges, and grounding its inhabitants in a rhythm of permanence and calm.

In Palm Hills, we designed this residence to balance comfort and presence with a restrained, architectural clarity.

Guided by symmetry and grounded in honest materials, our approach draws natural light deep into the interiors, softens transitions, and creates a consistent spatial rhythm throughout the home.

The result is a residence that feels both functional and enduring — a clear expression of our design philosophy where form and everyday living meet.

The outdoor garden became the home’s pulse — a space of movement, laughter, and memory.

A counterbalance to the stillness inside, it carried the energy of family, of gatherings, of moments that spill beyond walls.

For this residence, the outdoor garden became the home’s pulse — a central space for movement, laughter, and shared memory.
Conceived as a counterbalance to the calm, ordered interiors, the garden carries the energy of family life, gatherings, and moments that naturally extend beyond the walls of the home. Layered planting, shaded seating areas, and open lawns create a sequence of outdoor ‘rooms’ that encourage both activity and pause.
The landscape design integrates hard and soft elements with equal intent — pathways connecting spaces, terraces framing views, and greenery softening architectural edges — so that the garden becomes not just an exterior, but a living extension of the house itself

The basement was imagined as a world of its own — a quiet pocket for retreat, reflection, and work.

With a living area, kitchenette, guest bathroom, and office, it remained in sync with the house’s tone while offering depth below the surface.
Light played softly through this level: spotlights and sconces offered quiet precision, while hidden LEDs cast gentle halos across textured walls.

Every bathroom across the house was treated as its own microcosm — echoing the spirit of each room above, whether playful, composed, or refined.

The basement was designed as a self-contained space — a quiet retreat for work, leisure, and guests while staying connected to the overall character of the home.
It includes a living area, kitchenette, guest bathroom, and office. The layout is planned for clear circulation and efficient use of space, ensuring each area feels open yet well-defined.
Lighting was key to the atmosphere on this level. Recessed spotlights and wall sconces provide focused and ambient light, while hidden LED strips create soft, indirect glows that highlight textures and architectural details.
Each bathroom in the house was treated as its own small environment, reflecting the tone of the rooms it serves — some playful, others calm and minimal — but all tied together through a consistent palette of materials and finishes.

The design journey began with a blank canvas — a newly built villa intended to mirror the quiet rituals of daily life.

The ground floor unfolded in classical lines and warm oak, offering a tone of quiet formality. The reception and dining spaces invited gatherings with grace, while holding a stillness that whispered permanence.

The design process began with a blank canvas — a newly built villa conceived to reflect the quiet rhythms of everyday life while meeting modern functional requirements.
On the ground floor, the layout was organized along classical proportions with a clear structural grid, ensuring symmetry and efficient circulation. Warm oak wall paneling and flooring introduced a tactile, natural palette, balancing visual warmth with durability.
Reception and dining areas were designed as interconnected zones defined by subtle thresholds rather than solid partitions, allowing flexibility for both intimate family use and larger gatherings. Ceiling heights were calibrated to maintain a sense of openness, while integrated lighting — combining recessed downlights, concealed LED strips, and feature pendants — provided layered illumination suited to different times of day and activities.
The result is a ground floor that merges formal spatial planning with the warmth of materiality, achieving both architectural order and a welcoming, lived-in quality.

As you move upward, the language of the home shifts.

The upper levels adopt a softer, more modern voice — expressed in tactile materials, layered textures, and warm light.

Each bedroom carried its own atmosphere through wood tones: light sycamore in the twins’ room, dark oak for the master, walnut for the eldest daughter — a quiet rhythm of identities, crafted in timber.

Across the home, craftsmanship was not decoration — it was narrative.

Nearly every piece of furniture was custom-made, scaled and finished to echo the tone of each room.

Joinery details — from the carved kitchenette seating to the hand-finished doors — became the threads that wove the spaces together. Subtle, but felt. Humble, yet lasting.
